SIMPLE RULES FOR YOUR WELLNESS:

 

  1. Follow a proper feed. Enter in your diet foods rich in vitamin E and routine, which are fundamental in regulating venous tone and in the elasticity of the walls. Foods rich in these substances are fish, fruit (blueberries, apricots, citrus fruits, wheat) and vegetables (beetroot). It avoids fatty foods (cheeses, fried, etc.), as if excess can promote the onset of cardiovascular disease.
  2. Lose weight. Overweight and obesity are one of the major factors predisposing to venous insufficiency, as they increase inhibition of venous return and increase hormone production (eg estrogen, etc.).
  3. Avoid driving a sedentary life. Daily aerobic exercise is recommended in all therapeutic regimens. Walking at least 30 minutes a day activates basal metabolism and circulation, reducing the incidence of cardiovascular disease.
  4. Choose to wear shoes and comfortable clothing.   8. For long journeys, wear elastic compression stockings and perform simple exercises with feet and legs that help to circulate (calf contraction, back-flexion of the foot, etc.).
  9. Keep your legs slightly raised when you sleep. Lay a thick under the mattress, so that your legs are slightly raised.
  10. Take care of your legs. It is useful in the evening to use moisturizers and daily massages (gently massage from ankle to thigh).
